Actor and playwright Sam Shepard dies from ALS complications

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor and Pulitzer-winning playwright Sam Shepard has died from complications related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), known as Lou Gehrig's disease, a representative for his family said on Monday.
