- The former minister of aviation Osita Chidoka on Monday, July 31, picked a nomination form to run for governorship seat in Anambra state

- Chidoka picked the United Progressive Party (UPP) nomination form at the party's secretariat in Abuja

- He said he is ready to transport the people of Anambra state to a state desired by all

The former minister of aviation Osita Chidoka on Monday, July 31, picked the nomination form of the United Progressive Party (UPP) at its national secretariat in Abuja.

Chidoka who had earlier indicated his interest to run for the November 18, Anambra election said he is ready to transport the people of Anambra to a state of desired by all.

Chidoka said: "The onus is on every generation to embark on nation building conscious of past experiences, aware of the sacrifices of the past and yet desirous to build a nation that works for all."

"A nation where no man is oppressed, and to hand over to the next generation a banner without stain.

Chidoka picked the United Progressive Party (UPP) nomination form at the party's secretariat in Abuja

"Today, I pick the nomination form of the United Progressive Party, a party dedicated to the ideal of a nation where no man is oppressed, a nation that recognizes the imperative of self determination and nation that works for all," he said.

The nomination form is the visible evidence that my generation is ready for the dialogue that will rebuild our nation capacity to negotiate.

Chidoka picked the United Progressive Party (UPP) nomination form at the party's secretariat in Abuja

"That past injustices would form the bedrock our a new national revival that rights past wrongs and renews the prospect of a future built on equity, justice and fairness.

"I am ready!" the former minister assured.

Speaking after the former minister had picked his form, the national of the UPP Chekwas Okorie said Chidoka is a true tiger.

"You know the journey we have now is the journey of the tigers and he has started very well. Every statement he made here is consistent with what the UPP believes in," Okorie said.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that Chidoka dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (UPP) on June 14, to join the UPP.

Chidoka while joining the party said the move was aimed at enabling him achieve his governorship aspiration in Anambra state.

He also said UPP would help him in his aspiration to restore the political and economic glory of the people of Anambra.

Meanwhile, recall that Andy Uba, a senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District picked an All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form the run for the gubernatorial election in Anambra state.

Ubah who was accompanied to the APC national secretariat in Abuja by 40 senators from the National Assembly said he is the only politician in the state with strong existing structures.
