There are indications that 11 villagers have been killed in northern Cameroon by Boko Haram terrorists.

The incident was revealed by international investigative journalist and traditional ruler, Chief Bisong Etahoben, via his Twitter page.

Etahoben had earlier tweeted that more Boko Haram terrorists are surrendering due to financial frustrations, but it seems others are hell-bent on caarrying out their dastardly acts.

The terrorists seem to be losing ground to both Camorronian and Nigerian forces in recent times.

In Nigeria, two horse-riding Boko Haram members fleeing from military clearance operationat a Borno town were killed by Nigerian soldiers.

This was revealed by the Nigerian Army in a statement sent to journalists by the army deputy director, 8 Task Force Division, Monguno, Borno state, Colonel Timothy Antigha.

According to the statement, the insurgents fleeing on horse were gunned down by military troops during a fierce battle at Gambo Yukku forest in Gubio, northern part of Borno.

Similarly, troops of 112 Task Force Battalion of 22 Brigade on Operation Lafiya Dole ambushed another group of Boko Haram terrorists.

According to a statement by the director, army public relations, Brigadier-General SK Usman, the incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, October 26, in furtherance of the ongoing clearance operation in the area.

“The terrorists were attempting to cross into Sambisa forest through Lumda village, some few kilometres away from Maiduguri - Dikwa Road in Borno state.

“The troops sprung the ambush on the unsuspecting terrorist and neutralized 3 of them, while several others escaped with gunshot wounds.

“The troops further recovered 5 bicycles, mechanic tools, sacks containing various items and some mosquito nets from the ambush site,” the statement said.
