Lagos state government has fixed the death trap on Dillion road following the investigative report by the NAIJ.com reporter, Arinze Esomnofu.
The Dillion street road has been a menace to the residents in the vicinity in the past few years as businesses have folded up.
The deplorable state of the road have even led to the death of two individuals.
"Till today, I still cannot believe that this road has been fixed" John Okoye, a resident of Abdulahi street off Dillion, said while talking to NAIJ.com

He added: " I go to church at Saint Joseph Catholic church, so I use that road frequently"
Chinyere, a sales girl in a popular boutique adjacent to Lin Daves school said: " My madam closed her shop then because of the road, but now we don open and market day move well well"
As of the time of filing this report, we could not speak to the managers of Mac Dons Dillion and Eco Bank Dillion as both businesses have left the area due to the terrible condition of the road that badly affected their businesses respectively.
While we were at Dillion street, pedestrians and residents there were all happy to talk to us sharing their excitement about the new road.
A resident of Okoduwa street, Atom Bashir, when ask about how the road was fixed said: " I actually heard that an online news company talked to the government on our behalf"
It would be recalled that NAIJ.com reporter, Arinze Esomnofu, carried out an investigative report on the bad state of the road in October 2015 and he talked to some locals and the then Oriade Local Government chairman, Alhaji Sanusi, who explained that the road in particular does not fall in the jurisdiction of the local government but the state government.

And he promised that he would forward the complaints of the residents alongside NAIJ.com article about the Dillion road to the necessary authorities at the state level for immediate action.
Today the Dillion road is a beauty to behold, leaving road users and residents with a lasting smile on their faces.
