Scammers impersonate Nigerian Senate president Saraki

- Senate President Bukola Saraki warned Nigerians about scammers impersonating him

- Saraki released a few email address being used to impersonate him online

- He added that the scammers are operating fake emails with Russian I.P addresses

The Nigerian Senate President Bukola Saraki has warned the public of scammers operating fake emails with Russian I.P addresses to impersonate him online.

The senate president released some of the email address being used by the fraudsters to impersonate him.

Saraki, who took to his Facebook page to warn the pubic about the scammers, wrote: "One hour ago, it was brought to my attention that there are certain online scammers operating fake emails with Russian I.P addresses that are impersonating me.

"I wish to categorically state that these emails are not from me or my office; they do not represent me or my office; I do not know them; and these scammers have apparently been operating with the sole intention of defrauding the recipients of these emails.

"We have reported the activities of the scammers in question to the security agencies to take appropriate action."

The scammers operate using the following emails:

- Kiss60kiss@Tim.IT

- Dapanjbkoi@lagoon.ocn.ne.jp

- Bb@ceres.ocn.ne.jp

- Www@rondo.ocn.ne.jp

"The Nigerian public is hereby advised to be cautious of these scammers and report all such emails to the appropriate security agencies," he added.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Saraki alleged that the reason foreign nations are reluctant to return looted funds to Nigeria was because of the bad management of them.

The Senate president made these remarks at the ‘Strategic Retreat on Tracking the Progress of Anti-Corruption Bills in the National Assembly’ in Abuja on Tuesday, November 28.
